Stanley Schwartz, MD, FACP

Dr. Stanley Schwartz is currently in a private practice in Ardmore, Pa., after having spent 32 years at the Univ. Pa.  Dr. Schwartz received his MD in 1973 from the University of Chicago; completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania; and did a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Chicago. 

Dr. Schwartz actively lectures nationally, as well as internationally, about diabetes and its treatment. He has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has been a lead or co-investigator for many clinical trials  (DCCT-EDIC, LOOK AHEAD).  He has created and proposed a New Classification and Unified Pathophysiologic Construct for All Diabetes -now published in Diabetes Care, and Trends in Endocrinology.

He’s been elected by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America® from 1996 to 2018 and is a recipient of Marquis Who's Who l 2018/2019 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Though he does some research and teaches a great deal, most of his  time is  spent caring  for  patients.
